We are proud to celebrate the Rising Achievers who have chosen to continue their educational journey at Seminole State College of Florida.
Selected through the Rotary Club of Lake Mary's Rising Achievers Program, these students have demonstrated resilience, determination, and perseverance in the face of significant challenges and responsibilities.
This year, 14 of the 18 Rising Achievers selected across Seminole County will attend Seminole State. Through a partnership that began in 2014, these students receive support as they pursue their educational goals. Additional assistance is provided through the Dede Schaffner Endowed Scholarship for Rising Achievers, established through the Foundation for Seminole State College in 2016.
These students were recommended by their schools’ leadership and ultimately selected by the The Rotary Club of Lake Mary.
The students who received awards are:
Jordan Lee, Hagerty High; Zy’kerria Walker, Hagerty High; Giselle Torres, Lake Brantley; Marli Mankarious, Lake Brantley; Nyla Trice, Lake Howell; Brenden Wilick, Lake Mary; Arwen Brodeur, Lyman High; Red Fonteboa, Lyman High; Kaley Nunez; Oviedo; Patrick Woideck, Oviedo; Kaiden Rim, Seminole High; Zoey Martin, Seminole High; Aaliyah Barker, Winter Springs; Lil'Enzie McKenzie, Winter Springs.
Since its creation, more than $100,000 has been awarded to 99 Rising Achievers, helping students pursue their dreams and build brighter futures.
We look forward to welcoming these remarkable students to campus and seeing all they accomplish.
