Sometimes, the path you plan isn’t the one you’re meant to follow.
When Megan Murphy first started college, she planned to become a teacher. But after a family member suffered a serious accident resulting in a traumatic brain injury, Megan watched nurses bring compassion, patience and skill to a long recovery. The experience changed the direction of her own future.
Today, Megan is studying nursing at Seminole State College of Florida and is a recipient of the Ann Wiggins Moore Memorial Endowed Nursing Scholarship, administered by the Foundation for Seminole State College.
“I am profoundly grateful and deeply honored to be selected as the recipient of the Ann Wiggins Moore Memorial Endowed Nursing Scholarship. This scholarship lifts a significant financial burden and allows me to focus more fully on my education, clinical training and personal growth as a future nurse," Megan shared with us.
“Your generosity motivates me to work harder, remain grounded in my values, and never lose sight of why I chose this path. My goal is to become a nurse who not only provides excellent clinical care, but who also offers presence, understanding and dignity to every patient I encounter.”
We’re proud to help students like Megan pursue the careers that call them, and grateful to the donors whose generosity helps make those journeys possible.
