Update: The event will now be held in Partnership 4, Conference Room #206.

Government contracting is often viewed through different lenses depending on which side of the table you're sitting on. What does a successful FAR-based contract look like from both the government and industry perspective?

Join the Central Florida Marine Corps Foundation on June 24 for our Professional Military Education (PME) panel:

The Art of Government Contracting: What Makes a Good FAR-Based Contract?

This discussion will bring together experienced acquisition professionals and industry leaders to explore the principles, challenges, and best practices that lead to effective FAR-based contracts and successful mission outcomes.

Our distinguished panel includes:

• Patsy Stefan – Contracting Officer and Acquisition Official supporting the U.S. Marine Corps, specializing in defense logistics, sustaining engineering, and support services acquisitions.

• Nicole Batts – Supervisory Contracting and Agreements Officer, Marine Corps Systems Command, responsible for the award and administration of government contracts that support Marine Corps operational requirements.

• John Lynch – Senior Contracts Manager, Cubic Defense, with more than 37 years of federal and private-sector acquisition experience, including service as a Marine Corps contingency contracting officer, FAA Contracting Officer, and recognized expert in complex federal contracting and Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs).

• William Cole – President and CEO of MAK Technologies and retired Army Brigadier General. Former Program Executive Officer for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), bringing decades of experience in military acquisition, program management, and defense technology development.

Whether you're a contracting professional, program manager, industry partner, business development leader, or simply interested in understanding the acquisition process, this panel will provide valuable insights from both sides of the contracting relationship.

Thank you to PM TRASYS, our panelists, and the Central Florida defense community for helping make these conversations possible.
