8/24: First day of after school program! Program takes place from 3-6pm Mon-Fri in Hayward and Mon-Thurs in Fremont.

8/28: Back to School Social Night at the Hayward office from 3-6pm 🥳

9/4: Back to School Game Night at the Hayward office from 3-6pm!

9/12: Saturday Activity - Back to School picnic at Kennedy Park from 10am-2pm 🧺☀️

9/18: After school program Kinnection Night! Speed friendships and cake pop making at the Hayward office from 3-6pm! 🧁👩‍🍳

9/24: End of Summer Party and Karaoke Night for Kinship teens! 4-7pm at the Hayward office 🎶🎤

Kinship caregivers, join us this month as we return to our regular support groups! A few highlights to note:

- Our Second Saturday support group in Spanish is back! This support group will take place virtually every second Saturday of the month, from 10am-12pm.

- 8/20/26: Caregiver Mental Health workshop during the Thursday morning English support group.

- 8/25/26: Nonverbal Communication with Kids workshop during the Tuesday evening English support group.

- 8/27/26: DREDF/IEP Information workshop during the Thursday morning English support group

We hope to see you all there for another month of community and connection! 🎉

Reminder: Backpack Distribution taking place today from 3-5pm at Kinship’s Hayward office! 🎉

As students prepare for the start of the school year, we invite our Kinship families to join us tomorrow for our Backpack Distribution! School supply-filled backpacks will be available for our K-12 Kinship students until supplies last from 3-5pm! 🎒📚✏️

We’re excited to partner with Hively Alameda County and Alameda County WIC Program for a community pop-up this Monday! 💛

Stop by the Hive on Wheels to pick up free diapers, wipes, infant clothing, and books, learn about Covered California and CalFresh, and connect with local resources that help families thrive.
