Throughout the years they have been increasing the cost of tuition. Tuition has increased more than 283% since 2003. Making students pay more and making it very difficult on students!!!

The State of California has to set its priority straight and they need to fully fund the CSU.

THIS IS OUR LAST CHANCE to put pressure on Governor Brown to fully fund the CSU!!!! Follow this link and tell him your personal story on how underfunding the CSU system will affect you!!

Hello Everyone, Governor Brown will be releasing his budget on Thursday. Which is the last time we can put pressure on the California Legislator to have them fully fund the CSU. Tomorrow is the big day!!! Are you ready? Students from East Bay will be attending the protest in Oakland, standing in solidarity with workers for International Workers Day!!!

When a worker goes to work they shouldn't have to fear the thought of deportation. Which is why one of the big call to action tomorrow is the protection of immigrant worker and workers justice!!!!

Join us, you can meet us at Fruitvale Plaza at 3 pm

Or ride with students from East Bay who will be meeting in front of the RAW, next to the shuttle bus stop at 2 pm to head over to the protest!

3 out of 4 CSU students work 20+ hours a week. It's no coincide that students have to work more while going to school. Since 2002-2007 tuition has increased by 273% 😵SQE will be participating at the unity rally by giving a presentation on Equity Interrupted; "As more student of color have entered the CSU system, the funding has gotten lighter." Please come and support, and learn about some crazy facts, students are currently suffering, and you might personally be affected by the student struggles. You are not alone. You will leave thinking on why are we taking this long to make higher education free in California!!! Tag a friend to join you on Wednesday at noon!!!

Yesterday SQE was at the capital, advocating in behalf of all students. We voiced our support on bills hearing that would support students. AB 393 would put a freeze on tuition for four years at the community colleges and cal states. AB 1038 would fund a commission to looking into ways to figure out how to fully higher education by the year 2030.
