In partnership with Immigrant Hope, Hayward Public Library is hosting a Citizenship Application Clinic. Receive expert assistance with your N-400 application form and free legal advice from an immigration attorney. This event is offered at no cost, providing support on your path to U.S. citizenship. Spaces are limited; first come, first served!

Registration required. ONLY 30 SPOTS are available. Appointment time slot will be assigned at the intake meeting.

Huge thank you to the incredible student volunteers who brought so much energy and heart to our APICI kick-off night! ✨ We are so grateful for the hard work and support from the amazing students at Stonebrae Elementary School, Hayward High School, and Mount Eden High School. We truly couldn't have done it without you, and we already can't wait to see you all at our next gathering! ♡

Congratulations Coach Virgil! On top of that, he is also a strong supporter of Polynesian Club at Hayward High School!

Virgil Hart—Hayward High’s football coach, women’s head basketball coach, and SEL counselor—has been named one of two inaugural Bay Area winners of the Coach Beam Service Award.

The award honors coaches who “lead with heart, purpose and community to transform the lives of student-athletes.”
Virgil has led the football team to a successful record. But he is also well-known for building strong connections to students, and puts an emphasis on academics, mental health, leadership, and personal growth.

One award nominator wrote: “He is committed to developing well-rounded young people who are prepared for life’s challenges.”

The award is bestowed by the Coach Beam’s Legacy Foundation, which was established by the Beam family to honor the life and values of Coach John Beam—a legendary East Bay high school and college coach who passed away tragically last year.

Virgil received the award at a recent Oakland Ballers game. He is shown here with Coach Beam’s two daughters.

Winners receive an individual $7,500 stipend and a $5,000 grant for their athletic program.

Location: Parent Resource Center Hub (24823 Soto Road, Hayward, CA), Multipurpose Room
What to Expect: We’ll start the evening together with an inspiring student and parent panel, explore local AANHPI history, and share meaningful ways you can get involved at your children’s schools throughout the year.
We'll provide a free dinner, childcare, door prizes, and more! We look forward to seeing you and your family then! ♡♡♡

What an incredible day connecting with our community! 🎒✨

We were absolutely thrilled to participate in the 2026-2027 Annual Hayward Backpack Giveaway.

Joining forces with the Hayward Unified School District and our fantastic community organizations, to welcome students back for the new school year was a true honor.

This event was the perfect opportunity to introduce APICI to the community. We had so much fun meeting everyone! A huge thank you to every single person who stopped by our space, said hello, and shared a smile with us. We hope you love your free giveaways and, of course, enjoyed the candies!

Wishing all the students, parents, and teachers a fantastic, successful school year ahead. We are so proud to be part of this community! See you all on our first APICI gathering of the year on September 2 at the HUB Multi-Purpose Room, 24823 Soto Road, Hayward from 5pm-6:30pm!

☀️🍉Great news, California! The SUN Bucks food program is renewed for Summer 2026! 😋

More than 3.5 million eligible California children will automatically receive SUN Bucks EBT cards that can be used to purchase groceries starting in June, and each eligible child will receive $120. Eligible children who are not automatically enrolled will need to apply through their school to get benefits.
