Where Bay Life Begins!

Our Mission: To collect, document, preserve, and interpret the historical maritime skills, culture, heritage, and environment of the Lower Susquehanna River, Upper Chesapeake Bay region, and their watersheds.

Teeming with numerous species of flora and fauna and having highly navigable waters, this unique environmental setting has been the perfect backdrop for generations of inhabitants - from the earliest Native Americans over 10,000 years ago, to the first European colonists in the 1600s, to today’s thriving community of the 21st century. Our mission is to collect, preserve, document and interpret the Upper Chesapeake Bay and Lower Susquehanna River Valley.

The Havre de Grace Maritime Museum will be hosting a Edward Jones presentation on Thursday, November 5th from 6:00 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.

🎃The HdG Maritime Museum will be closed on Saturday, October 31st for Halloween, however we will be resuming our regular schedule on November 1st at 1 P.M.- 5 P.M.

📖We'd like to announce that we are hosting Story Time at Hdg Maritime Museum. We will be reading "What Is a Pirate?" with author Melinda Beatty on Saturday, October 24th from 11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Story Time is completely free and includes free admission to the HdG Maritime Museum!

🎃We are still selling Pumpkins and Native plants at the HdG Maritime Museum, stop by to purchase a pumpkin just in time for Halloween!🎃

🎃We are selling pumpkins at the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum! Stop by and grab a pumpkin while supplies lasts!

Prices for pumpkins are, $4.00 for Smalls, $6.00 for Mediums, and $8.00 for Large.

🎃Hello everyone, Autumnfest HdG is here! We will still be hosting Autumnfest HdG inside the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum today, just to keep everyone nice and dry!

We will be selling all of your favorite fall plants and treats at our festival, as well as crafts from local vendors.

🐝Come and enjoy games and Storytime, we will be reading "The Dog Who Saved The Bees" By Stephanie Gibeault, we will be reading the story at 1 P.M. and 3 P.M. you will also have the chance to meet Cybil Preston and her furry friend!🐝
