Educational and Exchange Programs inspires youth and other participants to realize, proudly embrace, and share their innate gifts to the World; resulting in Economic Development in communities served. “Women and girls face oppression and economic hardship but make major contributions to economic, social and political development in their communities. Studies have shown that when women have access to credit and control over financial resources, they can become drivers of economic development”. Here is a note from United States Senator, Bob Casey, on violence against women and the result or outcome on supporting women’s right.

Dear Ms. Walton:

Thank you for taking the time to contact me regarding the International Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act. I appreciate hearing from you about this issue.

On January 3, 2018, Senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire introduced S. 2120, the International Violence Against Women Act of 2017. This important bill would codify the existing State Department Office of Global Women’s Issues, the Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues and the Senior Coordinator for Global Women’s Issues. It would also require interagency coordination, monitoring and evaluation of programs, country plans and regular briefings on relevant topics to Congress. It also calls for the development and implementation of a 5-year global strategy to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls. Finally, the International Violence Against Women Act of 2017 would authorize U.S. assistance to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls internationally.
