Our Mission: To Fund Innovative Learning Opportunities that Inspire Haverford Students

The Haverford Township School District Education Foundation is the result of a vision held by a group of local community leaders who appreciated the school district's excellent reputation and wished to enhance the district's curriculum and extra-curricular activities with privately funded enrichment programs. The foundation works closely with the school district, faculty and students, but is an independent, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. Under our mini-grant program, approximately $60,000 has been distributed by the Foundation for more than 175 innovative projects designed by students, teachers and involved parents.

Tonight Ed Foundation Board Members Will Walsh and Kristin Larsen were thrilled to join Chestnutwold Elementary School for their 1st annual Phoenix Family Fun Night! Families participated in a mix of fun, tech-free activities. The event’s organization, high energy, and the turnout were impressive!

Thank you, Principal Leach, for the invitation. We were glad to join you all! 💙💛

📣 Great ideas start with the support to bring them to life! 📣

Thanks to a grant from the Haverford Education Foundation, high school students will get to explore the exciting intersection of physics, engineering, and hands-on problem-solving with a new pinball machine! ✨

Students will work together to investigate how the machine works and apply physics concepts to real-world challenges. Through this engaging, hands-on experience, students will explore physical computing, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and gain valuable knowledge they can carry into future pursuits.

This is what innovative learning looks like—turning curiosity into discovery and classroom concepts into real-world experiences! ❤️💛

Your generosity helps fund innovative grants like this one and creates meaningful opportunities for our students and educators. Join us in making a difference—donate today! ❤️💛

Get to know the Haverford Education Foundation!

We are not the school district, we are a nonprofit supporting the students and teachers of Haverford Township by providing grants for innovative programs. Different roles, shared commitment.

A great grant can begin with one educator asking “what will help students connect more deeply with this material?” and then bringing that idea to life. Our foundation is proud to be a part of that journey.

Follow, share, and click the links in bio to learn more about our work or donate to help expand what is possible!

Our very own Emily Gray has been honored this week with the Domenick J. Recchiuti Award!

She is being recognized for her unparalleled service to her students, fellow parents and colleagues, and our community as a whole. She has been an active member of our Board, serving not just as a volunteer coordinator for the Twilight Walk/Run, but as the co-chair of our Student Board, ensuring that our next generation of leaders are getting experience with voicing their opinions, enacting change, and collaborating to bring long-term goals to fruition.

We love that Emily has been recognized by others within the community for being the incredible individual that she is, and we all feel so honored to have her as part of our district!

Congratulations, Emily!
