This week, Child Guidance Resource Centers joined advocates, legislators, community organizations, survivors, and families at CeaseFirePA's Advocacy Day at the Capitol in Harrisburg. Together, we stood united with one goal: ending gun violence and creating safer communities for all.

Throughout the day, we met with State Senators and Representatives to share concerns, discuss solutions, and advocate for policies that can save lives. We were encouraged that our message was heard.

As we observe Gun Violence Awareness Month this June, we encourage everyone to learn more about the importance of secure gun storage, violence intervention programs, universal background checks, and banning ghost guns.

Behind every statistic is a family forever changed. Below, you'll see the powerful story of a mother who lost her son to gun violence, a reminder of why this work matters and why we must continue to raise our voices for change.
