We want to announce that we have cancelled the Haverford Home & Garden Show. It makes us a bit sad, but we know that this is the right decision. Our main goal was to host a show that we, our sponsors, the Township and our attendees would be proud of, and it’s clear that is not possible. We also needed the event to raise enough money to warrant the amount of work it would take to orchestrate it.
We've done very well with sponsorships but had a poor response from vendors. We think the lack of interest is mostly due to the fact that contractors are doing well, most of them with backed up schedules. We’re sure concerns about COVID also factor in. Certainly, this new wave of infections would have dampened our ability to get consumers there, and bringing together that many people at this time might not have been wise.
We want to thank our sponsors who stepped up to support the show and HPED/Discover Haverford: Charles B. We do have plans for a few other events for 2022, so stay tuned!
