Barry County Commission on Aging will soon be opening its new facility, and Barry County Transit is making it even easier to get there!

Beginning on opening day and continuing through December 2026, Barry County Transit will provide FREE rides to the new Commission on Aging facility.

Whether you're heading there for a program, activity, appointment, or simply to see everything the new facility has to offer, leave the driving to us!

FREE rides begin opening day and continue through December 2026.

Kathryn Christie is a Hastings native, fifth-generation Michigan farmer, children’s author, and Certified Agricultural Literacy Educator dedicated to helping children and families better understand where their food comes from. Through her business, An Ear Full of Agriculture, she brings agriculture to life through engaging books, school visits, hands-on educational programs, and presentations for audiences of all ages.

Your new Michigan Bridge Card has arrived. Here’s what to do next:

• Open the mailing and follow the included instructions to activate your new card.
• Once activated, begin using your new card and discard your old one.
• Your benefits and account will stay the same. Only the card is changing.

Your new card is mailed at no cost. Your current Bridge Card will continue working until you activate your new card or until Oct. 30, whichever comes first.

Keep your mailing address current at Michigan.gov/MIBridges.

September is National Preparedness Month! To celebrate, we’re partnering with The Ability Collective of Barry County to host a free community event for people with disabilities, their families, and caregivers.
