OCTOBER 21 RIBBON CUTTING UPDATE 👇

The Hastings Riverwalk Lofts is set to open in downtown Hastings. The 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Oct. 21 ribbon-cutting event is invite-only, but the public is invited to participate in guided tours of the Riverwalk Lofts after 3 p.m.

The Mill Street Market will not be open to the public yet.

Tours are limited to the first floor, as the elevators have not been approved for use.

Today, we gathered as a community to celebrate the legacy of Highpoint Community Bank 💛

Today’s Legacy Luncheon was a special opportunity to reflect on the people and partnerships that have helped shape the Barry Community Foundation and the future of Barry County. We were especially honored to recognize HCB, whose relationship with the Foundation dates back to 1995, with a dedicated leaf at our Legacy Tree.

We’re grateful for the people who have been part of our story, those who continue to believe in our community, and the legacy we’re building together. Thank you to everyone who joined us today and to HCB for being part of ours for so many years.

🎃 The Barry Community Foundation is hosting a Harvest Halloween event to celebrate the end of the 2026 Farmers Market season!

Event Details:
👻 October 31st, 2026
👻 9am-1:30pm (Set up begins an hour before the event)
👻 Hastings Courthouse Lawn

🎃 This celebration will include crafts, face painting, prizes, games, music, etc., and we are asking for local businesses/non-profits to join us and make it even better!

🎃 This event is free for you to attend; we just ask that you bring a game/activity as well as candy (or small toys) for the trick-or-treaters! Costumes are encouraged as well!

🎃 This is a great way to engage with the community while supporting our local vendors!

Work has nearly wrapped up on a $40 million investment in Hastings that includes a brand new apartment complex, a farm market, a daycare and an incubator kitchen.
