Did you know?

Mill Street Market wasn't designed as a collection of separate programs.

It was designed as a connected ecosystem.

Food access supports healthy families.
Childcare supports workforce participation.
Entrepreneurial education creates local businesses.
Local businesses strengthen the local economy.

When these systems work together, the impact reaches further than any one program can alone.

That's why Mill Street Market brings them together under one roof.

Because rural communities thrive when solutions work together—not in silos.

150 Households Reached!

Because of you, we've reached 150 households in the Grow the Market Challenge!

That means 150 households have stepped forward to support food access, childcare tuition relief, youth culinary education, and opportunities for local entrepreneurs in our community.

But we're not done yet.

Just 10 days remain.

Our goal is 200 households, and every new household helps unlock additional funding and expand the impact of Mill Street Market programs.

Remember: We're counting households, not dollars.

👉 Help us reach 200. Share this post, invite a friend, and join the Grow the Market Challenge today. https://formsbcf.org/view.php?id=130426

Mill Street Market is excited to announce that Anne Ellis will be joining the team as the Farm Stop and Cafe Manager.

Anne is the longtime owner and operator of Anne's Health Foods, a trusted local business that has served the community for many years with a commitment to healthy living, quality products, and personal connection. Anne's Health Foods will officially close on June 13, 2026, as Anne transitions into this new leadership role with Mill Street Market.

We are honored to partner with someone who has been such a strong advocate for health, wellness, and local food in our community. Anne brings 28+ years of experience, relationships, and passion that will help shape the future of the Farm Stop and Cafe.

Her leadership will help guide Mill Street Market's mission to expand access to healthy, local products while strengthening connections among farmers, food producers, and the community.

Please join us in welcoming Anne to the Mill Street Market team and thanking her for the incredible impact she has made through Anne’s Health Foods over the years.

Mill Street Market is excited to partner with the Hastings High School Culinary Arts Program to help create hands-on learning opportunities that connect education, entrepreneurship, and community.

This partnership is about more than cooking skills. It's about helping students explore real-world career pathways, build confidence, and gain experience in a community-centered environment.

As this vision grows, we hope to expand partnerships with additional Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs to include areas like graphic design, marketing, product photography, packaging and label development, business operations, and more.

Because building the future of local food systems also means investing in the next generation of creators, leaders, and entrepreneurs.

🎥 Watch how this partnership is helping shape what comes next for Mill Street Market and our community. https://formsbcf.org/view.php?id=130426
