Cub Scout Pack 134

Winter Campout 2025 is in the books. We camped at Camp Wisdom in Dallas and enjoyed the many kid amenities like the pirate ships, the caves, the maze and castle. We took a 2-3 mile hike to one of the ponds where you can fish. On the way back we stopped at the scout museum to look and learn about the 115 year old history of scouting.

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes! 🇺🇸

Today, our Cub Scouts from Pack 134 proudly placed flags throughout the Sendera Ranch neighborhood in honor of Veterans Day showing gratitude to the brave men and women who have served our country. ❤️💙

A huge thank you to the Sendera Ranch & Haslet,Tx Resident community for being so supportive of our Cub Scouts and helping us teach these young leaders the importance of service, respect, and patriotism. 🦅🇺🇸

Had a great fall campout at Troop 771 Scout Barn in Flower Mound this weekend. Hiked the Cross Timbers Trail, played ultimate frisbee, cut up retired flags and participated in a flag burning ceremony, learned how to make dump cake and build a fire, looked at the night sky through a telescope, performed campfire skits and ate smores. Now it’s time to rest!

Scouts in Pack 134 absolutely killed it today at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch doing some competitive orienteering. They used topographic maps and pilotage skills to find points in a huge course. Their skills were impressive, and make a good foundation for later in life when they need em.

Its a timed event with a point based system; the easy to find points have a lower value and the challenging locations are worth more. Scouts have to use the map to select a route then navigate to the points.

Scouts from the AOL Den had a blast camping with Troop 2020B this weekend. They worked on whipping and fusing rope, Scout trivia/knowledge, how to cook with cast iron and backpacking stoves, had a flag retirement ceremony and an interfaith worship service!!
