When you think of a summer camp, what activities come to mind?

Did you say arts and crafts, playing games, or water stations? We do those things and a lot more. However, we try to keep costs down at camp by taking donations towards these events. Amazon is hosting Prime Day right now and some of the items we have on our wish list are on sale! We appreciate any donations to our camp to allow these children to be kids enjoying God's great outdoors!

“I’m booooored.” 🫠 It’s day three of summer and you’ve already heard it 47 times.

Summer break is a gift and a marathon. Less structure can mean more meltdowns, more screen battles, and more of you wondering what on earth to do with these long, open days, especially for kids who feel safest when they know what’s coming next.

So we made you something. And it’s free. 🎉

Our Summer Survival Kit: a collection of practical tools, printables, activities, and connection resources designed to help your family navigate summer with confidence.

A little structure. A lot of connection.💗

💌 Comment SUMMER and we’ll send you the link to grab it!

When stress shows up, our brains and bodies often respond automatically through patterns like fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. These responses are not chosen behaviors - they are protective responses designed to help us feel safe.
The more we become curious about our own stress responses and the responses of our children - the more we can move from frustration to connection.
Curiosity helps us recognize what is happening beneath the behavior, respond with compassion, and create safety that supports regulation and healing. 💛

Listen for ways to support a foster or adoptive family well.

When someone you love gets a new placement, your first instinct is to love on that baby (no matter how old they are).
But the most helpful thing you can do? Everything else.
The meals. The laundry. The older kids. The yard. The random Tuesday morning Starbucks drop-off. The things they didn’t know they needed and would never think to ask for.
In episode 237, Tona, Becca, and Jesse share what it actually looks like to support a foster or adoptive family well — from the people who have been on the receiving end of both.

Foster families play a crucial role in supporting family strengths and resiliency. They keep children and youth connected to their families, their communities and their cultural roots while partnering with families and working with them towards reunification.

Join us in recognizing and celebrating foster families as essential partners in this work, and learn more about how they are making a difference in the lives of Wisconsin's children and families https://dcf.wisconsin.gov/fostercare/parent
