🌼🧠 October 10th is World Mental Health Day! 💚

At Ascent Therapy Harrison, we believe mental health matters every single day, not just today. Behind every smile is a story we may know nothing about, and sometimes the battles people are fighting are the ones we cannot see.

Mental health does not discriminate by age, background, or circumstance. From our littlest kiddos learning to understand their big feelings to teenagers navigating life’s challenges and adults simply trying to hold it all together, everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, supported, and understood.

Today is a reminder that it’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to ask for help, set boundaries, take a break, and prioritize your own well-being. Healing isn’t always linear, progress doesn’t always look the same, and you don’t have to have everything figured out.

Most importantly, let’s continue working together to end the stigma surrounding mental health. Seeking support is not a sign of weakness. It takes courage to acknowledge when you’re struggling, and nobody should ever feel ashamed for needing help.

Be kind. Check on your people. Give yourself grace. And remember, your mental health matters, your story matters, and YOU matter. 🌻

With love,
Ascent Therapy Harrison 💚

🤍 World Mental Health Day

Today, we’re reminded that mental health is health.

Taking care of your mental health isn’t selfish, and asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness. Sometimes caring for yourself looks like resting. Sometimes it looks like setting a boundary. Sometimes it looks like talking to someone and realizing you don’t have to carry everything alone.

Wherever you are in your journey, your mental health matters. Your feelings matter. You matter. 🌿

Today—and every day—let’s make space for honest conversations, compassion, and support.

We’re here for you, River Valley.

Our Community Outreach Team is all about interacting with y’all and showing up where we can 🩷

If you bought a paint kit 🎨🖌️ or balloon wand 🎈from us yesterday, thank you! Proceeds go towards being able to provide free things for our community.

✨We’d love to see some of the paintings you’ve created with our kits, drop them below! 📸 We’ll go ahead and add ones we’ve received!

A huge thank you to everyone that took time to nominate a teacher 💛🎉 154 nominations were made - which speaks volumes about what our teachers are doing inside and outside the classroom.

Having the privilege to work in some of our schools we recognize teachers have one of the most important jobs there is. They don’t just teach lessons—they inspire, encourage, challenge, and help shape the future of our children and our communities.

If you know a teacher who goes above and beyond, takes the time to make a difference, and truly cares about their students, consider nominating them! ❤️ we would LOVE to stock class snacks or buy some must have items for their classrooms - up to $100 each!

A simple nomination is a meaningful way to recognize the dedication, patience, and heart that teachers bring to their work every single day.

Let’s celebrate the teachers who make a difference! 🍎📚
