Hey Harrison! It’s been a little while since we’ve posted, so we wanted to give everyone an update. Yes, we still are around. Yes, we are still working on The Hangout. We have had a few setbacks since we last did anything, but we are getting back on track. If all goes well, we should be opening very soon.

We need your help though. We need everyone we can to help us spread the word about who we are and what we're doing. It can be as simple as telling someone about the organization. We need as many people as possible to know who we are. But we cant do it alone. This is a community effort.

But in case you've forgotten, here's a quick rundown. We are the Voice of the Boone County Kids. We started this organization to provide the teenagers and young adults of Boone County with a place to voice their thoughts, wants, and needs, without fear of judgement or persecution. We are currently working on a place called The Hangout. This is going to be a place for teens and young adults to not ony relax and have fun, but also to help those just transitioning into adulthood.

Hey y'all! I promise, we're still here. We've had a rough several months with the teens getting very discouraged and nearly giving up due to lack of any kind of support. They have been taking in part time jobs and trying to fund it themselves, but that doesn't leave much time for anything else.

Thankfully Wabash Wood Products has stepped up to show their support. They are doing a charity drive for the teens which has made them feel like they matter again. With their help and support, we are hopeful to have the Hangout up and running by the end of the year. We have a location available just off of the square downtown. Now we just need to get it going.

Our teens will be getting in here to give updates and you can always catch us at Voice of the Boone County Kids SAFE ZONE !!!

Saturday will be our last sale to clean out the Hangout and start on renovations. Come out between 9am and 2pm on Saturday the 16th , bring a Walmart size bag and fill it for $5!!

We have clothing of all sizes, household items, furniture(that will be priced cuz it isn't gonna fit in your bag lol) and lots of miscellaneous items. ALL OFFERS CONSIDERED!!

We are needing to clean the rest of the items from our donation based sale out of the building in order to start renovations for the Hangout. We will be opening the doors for anyone who sends us a message. All items are a donation basis(just be fair please). We have a little bit of everything including furniture clothes, household items decorations, appliances, etc. Send us a message for access.

We are looking for yards sale left overs for a donation based sale in June. Please let us know what you have and how we can pick it up.

All proceeds from the sale will go towards the creation of the Hangout for teens.

These are just a few of the shirts we have either already made, or will be making this week. (Please excuse the bad pictures. We haven't figured that part out yet.) Shirts are $15 each or 2 for $25. We can put the designs on any size/ color you need. Personalization is also avavailable.

Ok y'all! The t-shirts we made and took to Crawdad days were a HUGE hit. We nearly sold out!! We have a deal with a boutique to put our stuff in their store. We just have to provide our own tables/shelves/clothes racks and such. if you have any you can donate, it would be greatly appreciated!!
