The Mikey Effect Inspired by nine-year-old Mikey, a childhood cancer foundation dedicated to providing non-medical support to kids fighting cancer and their families.

Working to provide non-medical support to childhood cancer families seeking treatment with the Maine Children's Cancer Program and beyond. We are starting small, focusing on offering social support for kids, their siblings, and parents whose lives have been turned upside down by pediatric cancers. We don't want to be just an organization that supports you, we want to be a friend who you can turn t

o and help you connect with resources that will help your entire family from your child's diagnosis, through treatment, and everything that follows. As we grow our services will as well, but for us to grow we need community support by way of volunteers, fundraising, and advocating for childhood cancer awareness.
