🔥 SPARKS FLEW IN STANTON, TEXAS! 🔥

On Friday, October 23, 2026, the Texas High School Welding Series headed to Stanton, Texas, for the 2026 Stanton Build-Off! 🤘⚡

Seven teams from across West Texas brought their skills, determination, and competitive spirit for a day of welding, fabrication, teamwork, and friendly competition!

These students were challenged to put their skills to the test, working from a set of plans while demonstrating craftsmanship, weld quality, safety, teamwork, and time management. The competition was fierce, with less than two points separating our top two teams!

🥇 1st Place: Coahoma

🥈 2nd Place: Forsan

🥉 3rd Place: Sands

🏅 4th Place: Brownfield

🏅 5th Place: Ralls

🏆 Builder's Choice Award: Coahoma

🎟️ State Qualifying Team: Forsan

🦺 Top Hand & Safety Champion: Valeria Flores – Brownfield

A huge congratulations to Coahoma for earning both 1st Place and the Builder's Choice Award, and to Forsan for securing a spot at the Texas High School Welding Series State Championship!

A special thank-you to Stanton High School, Cody Owens, and everyone who helped organize and host this event. We also want to recognize B&J Welding Supply for providing lunch and supporting these young welders!

To our judges, volunteers, teachers, industry partners, and supporters, thank you for giving your time and resources to create opportunities for the next generation of skilled trades professionals.

Most importantly, congratulations to ALL the students who competed! Whether you took home an award or not, the experience, skills, and lessons gained through these competitions are what the Welding Series is all about.
