🥁 A BIG THANK-YOU TO OUR CITY! ❤️🎉

A little appreciation, a special surprise, and a whole lot of community pride! 🙌

Tuesday night, members of the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce Board and the Food, W**e & Brew Core Committee joined Harker Heights City Council to say THANK YOU for the City’s investment and support! 💙

And what better way to say thanks than with a little music? 🎶 The team presented the City with a drum cymbal signed by the festival’s performers — a one-of-a-kind keepsake to celebrate the event! 🥁✨ They also shared festival attendance numbers, highlighting the community members who came out to be part of the fun.

We love seeing what happens when a community comes together! From supporting local events to creating opportunities for neighbors to connect, partnerships like this help make Harker Heights such a special place. 🏡❤️

❤️🤍💙Today, on National First Responders Day, the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce proudly recognizes the extraordinary men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities.

To first responders everywhere, we see you, we appreciate you, and we are forever grateful for the sacrifices you make each and every day. ❤️

Today, we want to give an especially heartfelt THANK YOU to our very own Harker Heights Police Department, Harker Heights Fire Department, and Emergency Medical Services personnel. 🚓🚒🚑

You are more than the uniforms you wear. You are our neighbors, friends, family members, and the familiar faces who make our community feel safe.

You miss family dinners, holidays, birthdays, and precious moments with loved ones to answer calls for help. You work long hours, face unimaginable challenges, and put the safety of complete strangers before your own.

Yet, through it all, you continue to show up with courage, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to service.

Because of you, our families can rest a little easier, our businesses can open their doors with confidence, and our community can continue to grow knowing there are incredible people standing ready to protect it. ❤️

We also recognize the families behind our first responders. Your sacrifices, patience, and strength do not go unnoticed. Thank you for sharing your loved ones with our community.

From all of us at the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce, please know that your dedication is appreciated, your sacrifices are not forgotten, and your service will never be taken for granted.

YOU ARE THE HEART OF OUR COMMUNITY, AND WE ARE PROUD TO STAND BEHIND YOU.

Today and every day, thank you for answering the call, protecting our city, and helping make Harker Heights a place we are proud to call home.

Harker Heights is full of music!🎶
Come out November 6th to Carl Levin park amphitheater for an amazing evening of vendors, music, and food!

Emily Gimble has been singing and playing on stage since she was seven years old. Piano beckoned Emily early on--the Austin Music Awards named her 'Best Keyboards' of the city four times (2013, 2014, 2018, & 2019)--as did her voice, full of natural range and feeling.

'A Case of the Gimbles,' the 2005 album she recorded with her father (Dick Gimble) and grandfather (Johnny Gimble), showcased her vocals and launched Emily on a national family tour. With the Marshall Ford Band, Emily focused on western swing, and with Warren Hood and the Goods, she explored jazz, country, folk and pop.

In 2014, Emily joined Asleep at the Wheel. With them, she played Austin City Limits twice and recorded a duet with one of her idols, Merle Haggard. In 2017 she released 'Certain Kinda,' her debut solo album.

Emily continues to tour, teach, and record in the great state of Texas and beyond. Emily was named the 2020 Texas State Musician by the Texas Legislature. She currently leads her western swing band, jazz trio, and as sidewoman to Melissa Carper, Warren Hood, Bruce Robison, and other renowned Texas songwriters.
