🚒❤️ Prepared Families. Safer Communities. Stronger Partnerships. ❤️🚒

Last night, our Subhani Family Clubhouse families had a very special visit from the Harker Heights Fire Department for our Family Engagement event in recognition of National Preparedness Month!

Families joined us for conversations about the importance of being prepared before an emergency happens, including creating a family safety plan and making sure everyone in the household knows what to do when it matters most. Our friends from HHFD shared valuable information about fire safety, prevention, and emergency preparedness while giving our families an opportunity to ask questions and learn directly from the professionals who help keep our community safe.

Of course, our Club kids had some fun too! 🚒👨🏽‍🚒 They received fire hats and had the opportunity to get an up close look at the fire truck, making safety education an experience they will remember.

A huge THANK YOU to the Harker Heights Fire Department for taking the time to invest in our youth and families. Partnerships like this allow us to connect our families with resources, knowledge, and community leaders beyond the walls of our Club. We truly appreciate your continued support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas and Subhani Family Clubhouse. 💙

📅 Families, mark your calendars for October 3! HHFD has another community event coming up, and we encourage our Club families to come out, show their support, and continue learning more about fire safety and preparedness.

The Subhani Family Clubhouse team stopped by Dutch Bros today to support Buck for Kids Day!

Today, $1 from every drink purchased is donated to local Boys & Girls Clubs, helping support the programs, opportunities, and experiences we provide for young people in our community.

💙 COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR 💙

The Subhani Family Clubhouse, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas is excited to partner with the Harker Heights Police Department for their Annual Health Fair this Saturday, May 16th from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Harker Heights Library!

We encourage our club families and community members to stop by this FREE family friendly event to connect with helpful local resources and services available throughout our community.

🍋 From learning to earning! 🍋

I am so proud of our members and all the work they’ve put into preparing for Lemonade Day. They’ve been learning real-life skills like money management, goal setting, and entrepreneurship and now it’s time to put those skills into action.

Join us this Saturday, May 2nd from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at:

Come out to support our young entrepreneurs, grab a refreshing cup of lemonade, and show them what it looks like when a community believes in them. 💛

Parents, this is your moment to really pour into your child’s experience. Invite friends and family to stop by their stand, encourage them, celebrate them, and come support too. This is bigger than lemonade, it’s confidence, leadership, and real-world learning happening right in front of us.

Last Friday, we had the honor of officially dedicating the James “Braden” Charles Playground—a space that will forever carry his name, spirit, & the joy he brought to our Club.

Braden was truly one of a kind. A friend to all, a leader, & someone who made a lasting impact on everyone he met. Seeing our community come together to celebrate his life and legacy was incredibly special. 💙

This playground will continue to be a place filled with laughter, connection, and memories—just like the ones Braden created. May his kindness & legacy live on in every child who plays here ✨

Forever loved. Forever strong. 💙

Thank you to Mayor Blomquist, State Representative Hillary Hickland, our lovely local dignitaries, amazing fire department, & Braden's family and friends for making April 17th such a meaningful day.
