DISTRICT DEC CALL
By virtue of the authority vested in the District Presidents by the Constitution and Bylaws of the American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Texas, a DEC of the 11th District is hereby called to convene on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 9-12, at The American Legion Post 133, 1300 S. 25th St, Temple, Texas 76504. ph. 254-778-9789.
The purpose of this meeting is to give information to the Units that was received from the Department office, ensure all reports are received by April 15th; and to transact such other business as may be properly presented to the DEC.
I am so sorry this DEC Call is coming so late. The American Legion 11th District Commander did not inform us of the Convention or that she had moved The American Legion Convention from April to February. I only received the information on February 9th. This is the reason we are not prepared for a full convention. I sincerely hope you can get the information out to you members and hope to see you there. Because of this, there will be NO Delegate registration fee, Unit fee, or baskets needed for this meeting. We did speak with the Post 133 Commander and he said the Auxiliary is welcome to stay and eat lunch with NO charge.
All members of the American Legion Auxiliary are invited to attend, and each Unit in the District should send the Unit President and Secretary as they are part of the DEC. There will not be a District Memorial Service at the DEC. However, there will be a Past Presidents Memorial Service for our Past District President Jean Hueske.
The Consolidated report is due no later than April 15th. You can scan and email your report to [email protected].
