-10:00am - 10:00pm: Lighthouse 153 Alley Shut Down Party | Enjoy an all-day Oktoberfest celebration in the alley behind Lighthouse 153 featuring draft b**r, Holla Crushes, crab pretzels, oysters, and live music throughout the day. GPS Address: 111 E. Chestnut Street. We encourage everyone to stop by and support them during their unexpected (storm related) closure.

Main Street Hanover is excited to welcome M & J Discount Groceries to downtown Hanover! Located at 222 E. Chestnut Street, this family-owned business is bringing affordable groceries, drinks, dog food, and cat food to the community.

During our recent visit, Alex Brown had the opportunity to sit down with the family behind M & J and hear more about their story and their heartfelt mission to make quality food more accessible to local families, including those who may have limited transportation or financial resources.

And they have some exciting plans for the future, including more freezers, dairy products, and an ultra-low-cost clearance section!

Everyone give a warm welcome to Brian Shea - our Oktoberfest trivia & B**r Stein Hoisting Competition host! 🎉

Brian Shea is an improviser, producer and writer based in Hanover. In 2020, he co-founded Highwire Improv with three friends and continues to perform, teach and serve on the board of directors. He has performed in Hanover, Baltimore, Lancaster, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Williamsburg and New York.

He continues to try and make improv happen in Hanover - ask him about the new class starting in October with Hanover Borough's Department of Parks and Recreation. He can be found on morning walks around Hanover, solving the world's problems with friends or holding down a local barstool.
