A quick update on sweet Hudson! We’re busy working through applications, just as expected, and appreciate everyone’s patience!

If you applied but haven’t authorized your vet to speak with us, your application is being skipped for now.

We simply don’t have the time to go back and forth between applicants and vet offices to obtain permission.

If you’re one of the applicants who hasn’t given permission yet, please call your vet to authorize them to speak with Catskill Canine Rescue, then email us to let us know. Otherwise, we will not be processing your application.

We know everyone is excited about Hudson, but please help us keep this process moving so we can focus on finding him the best possible home. Thank you for understanding!

HUDSON IS OFFICIALLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!

We know a LOT of you have been waiting for this one! This 1-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has settled into foster care, and after his neuter it'll be time to find his forever family!

•Loves fetch and will play endlessly if you let him!
•Loves other dogs and has plenty of playful energy.
•Needs routine and continued work on housebreaking.
•A little timid about going outside alone but gaining confidence with time and patience.
•An active guy who needs a family to keep him engaged and continue working on his training.
•Sleeps GREAT in his crate!
•Cats are still an unknown. He’s met the neighbor’s cat, but we can’t guarantee how he’d do living with one.

📣 IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFO

We anticipate a high volume of applications for Hudson. Please be patient as our volunteer team balances full-time jobs and families while carefully reviewing each application.

Before applying, please contact your vet and authorize them to speak with us. Vet references are our first step. If we’re unable to reach your vet, we will move on to the next application.

Reminder: We are NOT first come, first served. Our priority is finding the best possible match for Hudson.

☕️🐾 $5 FRIDAY IS HERE! 🐾☕️

Look at this little guy. 😍 Hudson said, “Skip the coffee, human. I have a MUCH better use for that $5!” 😂❤️

This Friday, we’re asking you to skip your coffee (or maybe just one of them 😉) and donate $5 to Catskill Canine Rescue to help sponsor Hudson’s PUP CUP ADDICTION! ☕️🐶

Okay, okay… maybe it’s not all going toward pup cups. 😂 Your $5 helps us cover the food, vet care, supplies, and everything else that goes into caring for dogs like Hudson while they wait for their happily ever after. ❤️

We’re a small, foster-based rescue, and every single dollar makes a difference. Imagine what we could do if everyone who saw this post donated just $5! 🥹

🐾 Skip the coffee. Spoil the pup. Save a life.

👇 Donate $5 today and help keep those pup cups coming!

***Update, a home was found for Irish!! Thanks for all your help!!***
We are looking for a new home for Irish. This sweet mix is a ten-year-old spayed dog who is current on all vaccinations. Following the passing of her owner, his family is unfortunately unable to provide her with a home. She is a gentle and calm companion who reportedly gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children. She is currently feeling quite frightened and confused, so if you have a quiet environment and are able to provide her with the love she needs, please contact us.

Cookies really enjoying this new meal plan the vet has her on to gain weight. All the yummy things, chicken and scrambled eggs this morning with her kibble. ❤️
