You don’t need a whole day to make a difference. Even just one hour of volunteering at Helping Harvest can help us get so much done!

There are plenty of ways to lend a hand, including:
• Picking up deliveries
• Unloading deliveries
• Pricing items
• Stocking shelves
• Organizing products

Every box unloaded, item priced and shelf stocked helps us continue serving individuals and families in our community.

Food insecurity is getting worse, not better.

A recent report from the Regional Food Bank highlights the growing number of people facing hunger across the Capital Region and Hudson Valley. It’s a sobering reminder of why programs like Helping Harvest and our area food pantries are so important.

We see the need every day. Families are working hard, but rising grocery, housing, and utility costs are making it harder to put nutritious food on the table.

That’s why we’ll keep showing up - with affordable groceries, dignity, and a helping hand. 💚

Local organizations say inflation and federal SNAP cuts are limiting people’s access to food.

Thanks to the generous support of the Troy Savings Bank Charitable Foundation, Inc., we have a brand-new, oversized chest freezer! ❄️

This much-needed freezer replaces old equipment and expands our frozen food storage capacity at our Helping Harvest program. The freezer will allow us to keep more nutritious foods on hand for the hundreds of local families who rely on us each year.
