Connecticut's Blue Ribbon Commission considers expanding the role of Regional Educational Service Centers.

The Commission recently heard proposals aimed at strengthening the state's six RESCs and expanding regional approaches to meeting school district needs.

Among the ideas discussed: new funding mechanisms, greater access to special education grants, and incentives for districts to participate in regional services.

Child care doesn't stop at town lines. Neither should solutions.

That message came through loud and clear at today's Northeast Connecticut Childcare Needs Project Fall Forum at EASTCONN.

Parents. Educators. Community partners. School leaders. State and local officials.
Different perspectives. One shared regional challenge.

Through two panel discussions and meaningful conversation, one question stood out:

"What can we do?"

It's a question for all of us.

Fun times at Killingly High School Head Start Preschool! 🌟 Our preschoolers have been busy learning their letters through hands-on activities and getting their wiggles out with movement breaks. Learning looks a lot like play at this age, and that’s exactly how it should be!

Our Open House will be this Tuesday, September 22, from 5:30-7:00 pm. This is a great opportunity to meet your student’s teachers and learn more about our school.

We will start the evening in the auditorium with a quick presentation, followed by advisory and classroom meet-and-greets according to your student's schedule.
