Today, Parish Hill-PHACT PTSA: Parish Hill Action Community Team had the honor of recognizing two incredible educators who make Parish Hill Middle/High School a better place every single day.

Each year, CT PTA celebrates outstanding educators across the state based on nominations submitted by local PTAs and PTSAs. We are so proud to share that Mrs. Karen Abbey and Mrs. Michelle Salvas have been named our 2026 Outstanding Educator recipients!

This recognition is a true reflection of the impact theyโ€™ve had on their students, colleagues, and our entire school community. Their dedication, passion, and care do not go unnoticed and we are beyond grateful for everything they bring to Parish Hill.

As part of this recognition, each educator received a special booklet filled with heartfelt nomination letters written by students, families, and colleagues โ€” a powerful reminder of just how many lives theyโ€™ve touched.

Please join us in celebrating Mrs. Abbey and Mrs. Salvas and the meaningful work they do every single day. ๐Ÿ’™

Both, Mrs. Abbey and Mrs. Salvas will be honored at CT PTA's Outstanding Educator celebration luncheon on May 3rd!

Community Narcan Training - Open to the Public

Thanks to a $5,000 SERAC grant secured by Scotland Elementary School Superintendent Valerie Bruneau, the Scotland Local Prevention Council will be offering a Narcan training at Scotland Elementary School.

This training supports education and prevention efforts around drug and alcohol abuse and serves the communities of Scotland, Chaplin, Sprague, Hampton, and Pomfret. We invite all community members to attend and learn how to respond in an emergency.

๐Ÿ“Œ Please share our post to help get the word out into our community about this upcoming training.
