Happy Mother’s Day! We are grateful for the moms who keep our homes, families, and communities strong.❤️

We would also like to thank all those that joined us for our 2nd Pancake Breakfast yesterday! It was a huge success thanks to our amazing community and hard working club members. Whether you were a raffle basket winner, (drawing videos in comments) or you simply have the time - please stop by Veterans Base Camp in Chaplin 🇺🇸 There is an ongoing plant sale and always volunteer opportunities around camp!

All proceeds and time volunteering not only make you a great humanitarian by supporting local community, but also show how committed you are to being a part of the positive change in the world today! The next CVLC meeting is 5/19 at 6PM! We hope to see more friendly faces! 🦁

Last weekend, President Dwayne Gardner and Secretary Brittany Rodrigue attended District Governor Jim Tripp’s Awards Breakfast! ⭐️

This was a gathering to celebrate Eastern CT Club Leadership. Brittany led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and also received a Certificate of Appreciation for Club Leadership! Thank you Second Vice District Governor / CVLC’s Guiding Lion Darla Pigeon for all that you do! We are proud to serve the community under you in Zone 11. Thank you to DG Jim Tripp for inviting us and shoutout to Hebron Lions Club for hosting! 🦁

The newly organized Chaplin Veterans Lions Club has regular meetings at Veterans Base Camp located at 108 England Road, Chaplin, CT. We welcome new members.

Saturday, the Chaplin Veterans Lions Club had our last meeting of the year followed by a holiday meal! Members each brought a home made meal, and were able to spend time in good company, and recap on the year with a holiday cheer. ☃️

CVLC has completed around 4,000 service hours this year, with a majority from members volunteering at Veterans Base Camp Vittle 4 Vets Food Pantry. We are excited for 2026 and to be able to serve the community more! We are prideful in the work we do, and always looking for more humanitarians to join our mission.

The Chaplin Veterans Lions Club is looking for someone who is able to sand and/or salt their parking lot areas of Veterans Base Camp in Chaplin during this winter season. Any assistance to help this veteran organization is greatly appreciated.

Veterans Day is a great time for all Americans to salute our military veterans and say, "Thank you." Patriots Park in Coventry, CT will be the location of the premier Veterans Day event in CT on November 8th.

This is our 10th anniversary of celebrating and honoring veterans. Ten years of honoring our brave men and women and ten years of supporting CT Veteran Service Organizations who provide valuable and needed services for our veteran community. To date, we've distributed over $139,000 to VSO's helping our veteran community.

Coventry, CT, is the place to be on Saturday, November 8th, to honor and salute our veterans. At 9:45 a.m. there is a patriotic opening ceremony featuring the UConn ROTC color guard and UConn's Rubyfruit A Ca****la Choir. Lori Marriott, U.S. Army veteran, will be the guest speaker. At 10:00 a.m. is race start and 11 a.m. is the awards ceremony.

Join us to learn more about veterans. The day is a celebration for everyone to enjoy our freedom because of these brave veterans.
