When we polled the people we serve, more than half said they didn’t know about some of the resources available to them right here in our area. Sometimes help exists. People just don’t know where to find it. Showering the City brings those resources together in one place and gives organizations an opportunity to connect directly with the people who may need them. If your organization provides a service or resource that could benefit our community, we’d love to have you join us. And if you simply have a heart to serve, we’d love to have you volunteer. At Lend A Secondhand, we believe no one should have to face life’s challenges alone. Everything we do is possible because people are willing to show up for one another…

To the volunteers from Serve the City Peninsula, thank you for spending part of your 10th Big Volunteer Week serving alongside us. Your willingness to help will make a difference for countless families in the days ahead.

Thank you for believing in our mission and for reminding us what a community can accomplish when people come together to serve. 💛
