We are a family who has been affected by PTSD and want to make a difference in the lives of our Veterans who have PTSD by providing service dogs and bringing them HOPE. ys had a special place in my heart. His stature was always larger than others his age giving him the appearance of strength; while he definitely was a man of strength and courage to me he was always the little boy who came to visit me, my little Shea-Shea. At eighteen he entered the Army and served a tour in Afghanistan during 2009-2010. Continually, I prayed for his safety and was relieved upon his return to US soil. He left the Army in 2012 and moved back to southern California, and seemed from afar as though he was doing fine, however Shea William Porter, SPC, 4/25 ABCT, 3/509 PIR, was lost in the battle that continues for many once they return on February 7, 2015. As Valiant Service Dogs we will provide service dogs for our Veterans locally in Hampton Roads Virginia. We are also connecting with Midnight Suns Service Dogs in Anchorage, Alaska.
