Please note that the Kent Farm Transfer Station will not be opened for 2026. If anyone purchased a permit/coupon in 2026, this will be refunded to you.

Due to budgetary cuts, the Kent Farm Transfer Station will not be opening in 2026.  There will be no bulk disposal, no brush disposal, no mattress disposal, no disposal of appliances with freon and without freon, no tires, no electronics, no cardboard, and no Swap Shop.

Casella Waste has announced that the trash/recycling collection will be on a delayed schedule for the week of February 23rd- through to February 27th

Monday pickup will move to Tuesday
Tuesday pickup will move to Wednesday
Wednesday pickup will move to Thursday
Thursday pickup will move to Friday.

Please pass the information along

Those scheduled for a bulk pickup on Monday, February 23rd, will be contacted directly by Casella to give a rescheduled date.

There is regular trash pick up for the week of February 16th.

Please note there are only a few major holidays where trash is delayed. The next holiday that there is a day delay is Memorial Day (Monday, May 25).

The Town Offices will be opening at 10:00 am today (1/27/26).
Please remember that trash/recycling pick up is on a one-day delay due to the storm this weekend.
Monday will be picked up Tuesday, Tuesday on Wednesday, Wednesday on Thursday and Thursday on Friday.
Please be patient with Casella as they move through the neighborhoods this week. If they can't get to an area, they will generally try again the next day.
ALSO- The Board of Selectmen moved their meeting that was scheduled for yesterday (1/26/26) to Wednesday, 1/28/26 at 7:00 pm at the Town Office, 11 Main Street, Hampstead

There is regular trash & recycling pick-up today - Monday, January 19. The trash & recycling crew is out so get your toters out there. Be mindful to keep toters off roads as plowing is active.

Casella has done what they can due to Road conditions. They will be back tomorrow to finish Monday's trash route on Tuesday (12/30/25).

Please be aware that the Town Offices will be opening at 10:00 am Monday, December 29, 2025, instead of their regular business hours.
If you need to be out on the roads Sunday Night/Monday morning (12/28/25 - 12/29/25) please be careful and if possible, delay going out, and let the DPW treat the roads.
At this point, there is no delay in trash/recycling pick up. If there is any delay, we will get the information out to the various Facebook groups and on the www.hampsteadnh.us website.

As a reminder with snow coming tomorrow (12/2/25) that your barrel does not need to be IN the roadway. The mechanical arm on the trucks can reach out 3 to 5 feet from the road. Please put your barrels 3 to 5 feet away from the road and give the plows room on the road.

As of this evening everything is still on schedule for trash and recycling pick up on Tuesday. Any questions or concerns you can reach the town office.

To those properties in Hampstead on Estee Road, Hood Road, Tabor Road please start bringing your trash/recycling barrels to Croy Path for collection starting this week (12/1/25). Casella had moved to the winter time collection.

The weekly vendor list, though alwasy subject to change, is important as you plan your shopping. Some vendors are weekly, while others are biweekly or monthly. And remember, vendors are spaced between the cafeteria and the gym, which are connected to each other.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and we have so much to be thankful for! You’ve got two more Markets to gather everything you need for your holiday meals (note: the Market will be closed November 30 so our vendors and staff can enjoy time with family). December holidays aren’t far behind — plan ahead for gifts, from candles and soaps to books, mugs, or even a fun ugly Christmas headband. Just a reminder that the DPW (Highway) Department driveway will be closed until Monday, November 17. This means that there will be no waste oil recycling, cardboard recycling, recycling, or plastics recycling.

We appreciate your patience while the new driveway gets completed and settled in. This will make it a much safer environment for residents using that area.
