Sunday, May 3rd, marked the kick off of the 2026 SNHBC season and if it sets the tone we are in for an exciting 2026.
The wind and low water levels added to the challenge but turned on the bite.

Taking first place and building on last seasons success was Bruce and Joe with an impressive 4 fish limit at 11lb 13oz, anchored by a 3lb 13oz Smallmouth. Great job guys!

Second place went to the consistent threat team of Derek and Walter with 11lbs 12oz. 1oz short of the top spot. Well done.

Third place went to the never quit team of Kelcey and John with 4 fish and 10lb 10oz. They were seen competing out in waves and wind with minutes left in the tournament.

Lunker for the day went to Darren and Josh with 5lb 10oz Largemouth. This team struggled all day to find the bite with a 2 fish total of 9lb 4oz.

The low water and high wind made loading the boats post weigh-in quite a challenge but the everyone was able to exit safely, Thanks to those that assisted others at the launch.

See you at Squam in June!

Big Island Pond Event Recap

Our final tournament of the 2025 season wrapped up on Sunday, October 5, at Big Island Pond. It wasn't without its challenges—while two teams dialed in the pattern and connected with the fish, the rest of the field spent the day on a wild goose chase, zipping up and down the pond in hot pursuit of those elusive bass.

Team of the Year: A massive congrats to Chris and Scott—these two embody the grit and passion that make our club special! They always show up fired up, fish with heart, and even when the bite turns off, they're out there grinding post-weigh-in. What a phenomenal season: rock-solid consistency across the board, culminating in a whopping 115lbs 9oz total. You earned every ounce of this honor—well deserved!

Lunker of the Year: Bob and Chris sealed the deal with a G-G-Giant bass from their home waters, a 7lb 8oz largemouth.

Merrymeeting Lake Event Recap

Our second-to-last tournament of the season concluded on Sunday, September 21, at Merrymeeting Lake. Renowned for its smallmouth bass, this fishery can deliver epic bites—or test even the most seasoned anglers. Today fell squarely into the latter, with nearly every team spotting 15- to 20-pound bags cruising the shallows all day long, only to struggle mightily in converting those sightings into a solid limit. In a testament to the tough conditions, just one team brought a full five-fish bag to the scales.

1st Place: Derek and Walter, five fish for 13lbs 13oz.

2nd Place: Kelcey and John fought hard to land three-fish weighing 6lbs 2oz.

3rd Place: Darren and Josh capped off the podium with three fish for a total of 4lbs.

Lunker Award: Derek and Walter 4lb 2oz smallmouth.

A huge thank you to all our anglers. We’re pumped to wrap up the season at our final tournament in two weeks—stay tuned for details. Tight lines!
