The Mullica Township Board of Education voted in November 2009 to close the Hilda Frame School, which had served pre-kindergarten students.

OPEN SATURDAY 12-2 The reasons cited included declining enrollment which allowed the students
which were at Frame to attend the regular elementary school facility. In 2014 The Mullica Township Board of Education Agreed to Rent out under a 5 Year Term Agreement for One Dollar Per Year so that the Hilda Frame School could house the Mullica in the Pines museum and The Mullica Township Historic Society,

In 2015 The Mullica Township Historic Society was handed the keys to the Hilda Frame School, After a number of months of repairs to the building the Society and the Curator of the Museum , opened its doors in the Mid Half of 2015 to the public , providing the public with free access to the Museum and Open Yearly Membership to the Historical Society for $15 Donation
