🚨 SEVERE T-STORM WATCH ISSUED 🚨
With the abundance of sunshine earlier, enough energy has been created to stoke the flames for isolated to scattered severe weather this afternoon and evening. Window we are watching is 3pm-9pm.

Not everyone will see severe weather, it is most likely in the western-most sections of our viewing area.

Any storm rolling through this afternoon and evening could produce:

-Torrential downpours (flash flooding is a concern)
-Dime to quarter sized hail
-Gusts over 50mph
-Isolated tornado

We will be monitoring radar through the day and updating you accordingly should anything concerning pop.

A WATCH means conditions are FAVORABLE. No immediate action is needed.

A WARNING means severe weather is actively happening or is imminent and you need to take cover immediately.

Tonight we hosted the Atlantic County Land SAR drill. The team is formed from multiple fire companies in the county. Sweetwater has 6 active members. Tonight’s monthly Land SAR drill was water oops.

Our intention is NOT to scare anyone. It’s to forewarn our residents of problem weather.

Small tornado threat still on the table for tomorrow. 4pm-10pm window needs to be watched. Meso-low tracks JUST northwest of our region, typically speaking the most active weather occurs just east/southeast.

A little extra “spin” in the atmosphere tomorrow. Could see a couple storms rotate.

I’ll be working tomorrow so if there’s anything concerning that does form, I’ll be here every step of the way with ya!

Tornado threat tomorrow?
Keeping an eye on a bit of "spin" in the atmosphere modeled tomorrow afternoon and evening. Best chance of a tornado would be from say DC up into the SW corner of South Jersey.

Storm Prediction Center is going 2-4% chance at the moment. Nothing to freak out about. Nothing to hyperventilate over...but certainly something to be AWARE about.

Some stronger storms *MAY* impact us mid and late day tomorrow. That's it. That's all I'm saying. We will monitor and keep you updated!
