Church partnerships mean a lot to us at New Life Mission, and we’re very thankful for our friends at Four Corners Community Church.

Last Saturday, around 30 people came out and worked hard all over the property—inside and outside—cleaning, organizing, and helping us get things ready to serve the community.

What means the most is their willingness to show up, jump in, and do whatever needs to be done. We’re grateful for their friendship, their partnership, and the way they continue to serve alongside us.

Thank you to Congressman Warren Davidson for taking the time to visit New Life Mission.

We appreciated the opportunity to show him our work firsthand and have a meaningful conversation about the barriers facing people experiencing poverty and homelessness in our community, as well as some of the work being done in Washington to address those challenges.

New Life Mission will once again host the Hamilton Overdose Awareness Day Resource Fair on Thursday, August 27, from 11 AM–2 PM.

Join us as we remember the lives lost to overdose, support those still struggling, and connect people with treatment, recovery, and community resources.

Please note: Our food pantry will be CLOSED Thursday due to the special event.

The evening Remembrance Event will be held at RiversEdge Amphitheater from 6–8 PM.

It’s Tuesday night.

Tonight, someone in our community is pulling a wet blanket over themselves in a place they pray no one finds.

The rain didn’t just make them wet today.

It soaked the blanket they wrap themselves in. It soaked the backpack holding everything they own. It soaked the only pair of shoes they’ll lace back up tomorrow morning.

When the doors open at New Life Mission, I’ll watch them quietly file in. I’ll hear the squish and squeak of shoes that never had a chance to dry.

Some will head straight for the coffee.

Some will ask if we have clean socks because their feet have been wet for days—blistered, swollen, peeling—from walking miles in shoes that never had a chance to dry.

Most people see rain and think, “What a miserable day.”

The people I’ll see tomorrow don’t remember what it feels like to come inside, peel off wet clothes, throw them in the dryer, and crawl into a warm bed.

Tomorrow morning, while the coffee is brewing, life will go on for the rest of our community.

Inside these doors… survival will walk in, one person at a time.

Happy Birthday, Pastor Felix!

Today, we get to celebrate the man who spends so many of his days serving and celebrating others.

For 18 years, Pastor Felix has faithfully served the Hamilton community, including the past 10 years at New Life Mission. During that time, he has walked alongside people through some of their hardest days—offering a meal, encouragement, prayer, guidance, and most importantly, hope.

Behind the doors of the Mission are countless stories of people who have been welcomed when they felt forgotten, fed when they were hungry, encouraged when they were discouraged, and reminded that their circumstances do not determine their worth.

That kind of ministry doesn’t happen by accident. It takes leadership. It takes compassion. It takes faith. And it takes someone willing to keep showing up.

Pastor Felix, today we hope you know how much your years of service, leadership, and commitment to this community are appreciated. You have helped make New Life Mission a place where people can walk through the door exactly as they are and find someone willing to walk beside them toward something better.

Today is your day.

2,290 lbs of food donated at the Yankee Road Kroger!! Kroger patrons, Krista, and staff were awesome. Our crew was awesome also. Great work for our community.

We had a couple of guests stop by Yankee Road Kroger. Chris Tyler Lucas and Preston Samuel Brust of LOCASH stopped for a picture as they were headed to their autograph session inside.
