Mission Statement:
Participation in athletics plays a valuable role in the development of children. Aspects of teamwork, dedication, discipline, physical fitness, self-esteem, and fair play all contribute to the overall growth and maturation of young people. Waverly Hall Football takes this responsibility seriously and strives to offer quality programs which will aid in this development. We do thi

Fun - Kids should have fun playing sports! Fundamentals - we focus on improving in the fundamentals and keeping things simple. Teamwork - everything is done as a team and all kids will play

🏈🎉 COED FLAG FOOTBALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! 🎉🏈

Registration runs March 1 – May 15 — don’t miss your chance to get in on the action!

📅 Season Begins: June 2
🏆 Championship: June 27
📍 Game Days: Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays

This is a great opportunity for boys and girls to build skills, teamwork, and confidence while having FUN all summer long!

🎉🏈 Waverly Hall Youth Football & Cheer Season Banquet! 🏈🎉

Join us for a night of celebration as we recognize our young athletes and their hard work this season! The banquet will be held this Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Harris County Rec Center Gym.

Arrive at the time of your child’s age group:
* 6U: 4:30 PM
* 8U: 5:30 PM
* 10U: 6:30 PM
* 13U: 7:30 PM

Come enjoy pizza, cupcakes, and the presentation of trophies by teams. Let’s celebrate our kids’ hard work and achievements this season!

Our Focus

Safety: Our football coaches are all USA Football certified and required to pass an annual background investigation. All equipment is screened and helmets are re-certified by Riddell annually to ensure your football player is using the safest and most up-to-date equipment possible.

Program: We emphasize fundamentals first with an age appropriate playbook that progresses with your football player. Each age groups playbook will advance as they move up but the core plays remain the same. This allows them maximum time to spend learning the fundamentals (blocking and tackling) and position based skills (kicking, running, catching, throwing, snapping, pulling, blitzing, covering etc) and less time focusing on learning new plays every week. Our “Every Day Drills” are uniform across all age groups to reiterate good form and technique, teaching your football player to play smart and safe.

Results: We are the winningest program in the Harris County Youth Football Recreation League over the past two years: 2018- 5/6: 1st place, 7/8: 3rd place, 9/10: 2nd place, 11-13: 2nd place 2019- 5/6: 1st place, 7/8: 1st place, 9/10: 2nd place, 11-13: 1st place
