Do you have a 12 or 13 year old interested in forestry? 🌳🌲Campers have the opportunity to learn about forest and the value of forest. The camp is run by the Society of American Foresters and tuition is funded by sponsors with no charge to camp attendees.

At Georgia’s five-day summer Forestry Youth Camp, middle school students investigate the wonders of forest and wildlife ecology, learn how to identify trees, and discover the value and importance of forests in their daily lives. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! 🐔🏆

These 4-H’ers put in the work and it paid off at the Area 4-H Poultry Judging Competition! From earning top team honors to bringing home Top Individual in the high school division, they truly showed what dedication and preparation look like.

Proud of all our students for representing Harris County 4-H so well—building poultry knowledge, confidence, and real-world life skills along the way.

🎯🔥 Harris County 4-H .22 Rifle Team Update 🔥🎯
Our 4-H .22 Rifle Team recently competed at the Stephens County Rifle Match, showcasing their skills across three challenging positions: prone, sitting, and standing.
👏 Huge congratulations to Ryleigh for earning 1st Place in the Junior Open Class!
This team has put in months of hard work and practice, and it showed on the range.
🙏 A big thank you to our dedicated coaches, Johney Rhodes and Jeff Smith, for their time, leadership, and expertise.
👏 We also appreciate the Harris County Sheriff’s Department for their continued support and use of the range.
Proud of this team and all they’ve accomplished—another match soon.

C-4 4-H Science Club wrapped up the school year at Creekside School with a great day of hands-on learning! Students explored pollinators and basic circuits while creating their own clay pollinator insects and “circuit bugs.” 🐝⚡️

It was a fun and engaging final meeting filled with creativity, teamwork, and real-world science connections. Proud of these students for a great year of learning!
