Meet Trout! Our costume loving boy!

Trout is a handsome 3½ year old pup weighing in at 50 pounds of pure personality. He’s a true social butterfly who loves making new friends! He loves kids and does great with other dogs.

With his friendly nature and happy-go-lucky spirit, he is always ready to join in on the fun.

He is affectionate, enjoys kids, crate trained, has lived with cats before and is ready for his forever home! He is also Pets for Patriots eligible.

After more than 300 days of waiting, Cooper has officially been adopted! And trust us, this one is extra special. 🥹

Cooper first arrived at Hcac Georgia as a stray in December 2025. He spent almost six months at animal control, eventually becoming their longest-stay resident before we transferred him into HSHC’s care in May.

Five months later, after multiple adoption events and countless days of waiting, he still hadn’t found his person.

So, we made the decision to give him a much needed break from shelter life and placed him in foster care. That’s where Dana and her son, Zakkai, stepped in and poured so much love into Cooper. They helped him settle in, gave him the comfort and attention he deserved, and helped prepare him for the forever home we always knew was out there somewhere. ❤️

More than 300 days of waiting. Months of hoping. Cooper got his happily ever after! 🥹🐾

Stories like Cooper’s remind us why we keep showing up, why foster homes matter, and why we never give up on the dogs who have been waiting the longest.
