💚 A little idea I'd like to keep doing...
Today I filled a bag with handmade natural hygiene products—soap, laundry detergent, all-purpose cleaner, bug spray, and a few other basics—and walked around downtown chico offering them to anyone who looked like they could use them.
The little sign simply said:
"Pay what you can... or don't. It's okay."
I wasn't expecting much, but I watched people who looked exhausted light up over something as simple as a bar of soap.
It reminded me that being clean isn't just about hygiene. It's about dignity. Everyone deserves the chance to feel clean, cared for, and human.
So this is something I'm going to keep doing whenever I can. If you need something, please don't let money stop you. Take what you need.
If you're able to leave a few dollars, it'll simply help me make more for the next person. If not, you're still welcome.
My hope isn't to "fix" homelessness. It's simply to offer a little kindness and remind people that someone sees them. Maybe if enough of us start doing little things like this, we can make a real difference—one act of compassion at a time. 💚🌿
Though our roots are in Lake Almanor, our mission reaches wherever we happen to be. From caring for animals at the farm to sharing handmade products in Chico, we're simply trying to leave every place a little better than we found it.
