Father Your Hood – Dayton Branch Father’s Day Celebration @ Montgomery County’s Fatherhood Initiative Banquet 🫡🫡🫡

This afternoon, Father Your Hood and our Dayton branch of brothers came together to celebrate fatherhood and Father’s Day in Montgomery County, where we continue to do impactful work through our Dayton chapter and networks.

It was a beautiful occasion to see the community come out and support the fatherhood initiative. I had the privilege of standing alongside some of my greatest mentors and brothers in this fight, watching them lead by example and demonstrate what true leadership looks like. Their commitment, sacrifice, and dedication were a powerful reminder of the impact that strong men can have on families and communities.

Today reaffirmed something I have often said: if we are serious about changing the conditions in our communities, we must place Black and Brown men back at the forefront of leadership and back at the center of their households. A man’s ability to lead, guide, protect, provide, and nurture is essential to the strength of any family, community, nation, or kingdom.

If we are truly interested in overcoming the challenges and destructive influences that have been placed before us, we must first recognize and dismantle the traps that have weakened our homes and communities. The restoration of families begins with the restoration of fathers.

What a beautiful occasion, filled with fellowship, purpose, and hope. Thank you to everyone who came out, supported, and stood with us as we continue the work of strengthening fathers, families, and communities.

We're excited to launch our June Chess Tournament as we continue building minds, building brotherhood, and building our community one move at a time.

This tournament is more than chess—it's about strategy, discipline, fellowship, and bringing people together through positive competition.

🔥 14 Players Enter🏆 1 Monthly Championship Trophy💵 $150 Cash Prize⏱️ 15-Minute Games or Less👑 Championship Match Must Be Played In Person

Players can compete online or in person throughout the tournament. If a player is unable to compete, their opponent will receive a bye and advance to the next round.

Yesterday, Father Your Hood had the opportunity to hit the pavement, connect with the community, and engage with several prominent organizations in the fatherhood sector. The Talbert House fundraising event was truly amazing and highlighted the tremendous work being done to support fathers and strengthen families.

We had the pleasure of meeting dedicated leaders and professionals who share the same passion for creating positive change. Building relationships, making meaningful connections, and collaborating with others who are committed to this mission is what the work is all about.

From our vantage point, real impact happens when organizations come together, share resources, and remain focused on uplifting fathers, families, and communities. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of the conversation and look forward to continuing the work of empowering fathers and strengthening the communities we serve.
