This Thursday, Highly Favored Foundation joins CBI at The Robert "Sonny" Hill Community Center for our first “A Night to Breathe & Connect,” welcoming women and teen girls for conversation, encouragement, and access to HOPE Corner resources.

Today, 42 people came through HOPE Corner at Serve City for essentials, resources, and a welcoming place to turn. 💙

It was a blessing to serve alongside Missions In Motion International Ministries Thank you to their team and to Serve City for the care you show our neighbors!

We’re grateful to be here every Tuesday, helping families take their next step toward stability.

A family’s budget doesn’t stretch just because their needs grow.

Diapers run out. Laundry needs washing. Children need warmer clothes. And rent is still due.

Thursday evening, Highly Favored Foundation’s HOPE Corner brought everyday essentials, warm hoodies, fall clothing, and community resource information to families at the Fairfield Family YMCA.

Having these necessities available at no cost helps ease the pressure on household budgets—leaving more room for rent, utilities, and other essential bills.

That is the purpose behind HOPE Corner: addressing immediate needs while supporting families’ ability to stay stable and housed.

Thank you to the Fairfield Family Y , Humana for sharing Medicaid benefits information, and our dedicated volunteers for welcoming families with care and dignity. ❤️

What happens when a family needs a safe place to sleep—and the shelters are full?

That question is part of why housing advocacy matters to us.

On October 7, our Founder represented Highly Favored Foundation at Coalition On Homelessness and Housing in Ohio Statehouse Advocacy Day in Columbus, joining advocates from across Ohio focused on homelessness and housing insecurity.

Through our work in Butler County & Beyond we see how hard families work to find stability—and how difficult the next step can be when options are limited. Those experiences belong in conversations about housing policies and resources.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and take part. Supporting families also means showing up where decisions affecting their lives are discussed.

We’re here to help ease everyday pressures and connect people with support for their next step.

Getting ready for school or a job interview shouldn’t depend on whether you can afford to wash your clothes. 💙

For young people experiencing homelessness, laundry can be difficult to afford alongside food, transportation, and other essentials.

Today, Highly Favored Foundation expanded our HOPE Laundry Access Pilot from 10 to 20 participants—each receiving $20 in laundry quarters plus laundry detergent every month.

In partnership with Butler County Educational Service Center and Butler County Family & Children First Council this support serves young people through the WISH Youth Homelessness Project.

Thank you to our donors, volunteers, and partners for helping make clean clothes one less worry.

A safe place to stay can mean so much to a family facing a crisis. So can knowing where to turn next. 💜

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Through Highly Favored Foundation’s 72-Hour Safe Haven program, we provide short-term emergency hotel stays for families in crisis, including those fleeing domestic violence, and help them explore their next steps.

We have reached out to YWCA Hamilton Dove House when families we serve needed safety and continued support. We’re deeply grateful for their compassion and commitment to survivors.

Yesterday, our founder, Alberta Ablordeppey, attended a class at YWCA Hamilton organized by Hamilton Community Foundation (OH) Women Fund. Thank you to both organizations for creating space to learn and strengthen the connections that families depend on.

Supporting survivors begins with listening, compassion, and access to help—this month and throughout the year.

Highly Favored Foundation is adding a monthly Community Resource Night to our existing HOPE Corner program at the Fairfield Family Y .

Beginning October 8, these evenings will give families time with our volunteers to discuss their needs, ask questions, and get help connecting with community resources. Hygiene and household essentials and fall clothing will also be available while supplies last.

Sometimes a family needs supplies. Sometimes they also need help figuring out where to turn. We’re making room for both.

Thank you to the Fairfield Family YMCA for partnering with us to support local families.
