We found Squishy lying under a car in a puddle of water. He was in the middle of a heatstroke and in rough shape. We got him to the vet, got him stabilized, and watched this old man pull through like the tough guy he clearly is.

Turns out he's also incredibly sweet 😍.
Squishy is a long haired senior gentleman who now deserves a soft couch and someone who actually wants him there. He's been through enough. We'd love to see him spend whatever years he has left being properly spoiled.

If you've got room for a calm, friendly, distinguished older cat who's already proven he knows how to survive, Squishy might be your guy.

This is Yin and Yang, two 8 week old tuxedo kittens who are up for adoption through North Bergen Purr, a foster based cat rescue in NJ. 🐾

These two came to us after a kind neighbor reached out for help. Their mom and suspected dad were both TNR'd by us, and Yin and Yang were taken in, vetted, and are now ready for a home.

They are vaccinated, healthy, playful, and completely bonded to each other. They zoom around together, curl up together, and purr like little engines when you pick them up. They are good with other cats and have the kind of bold curious kitten energy that makes every room more entertaining.

If you have been thinking about getting a cat, two kittens who already love each other is honestly the easiest yes you will ever make. They will be spayed and neutered before going home. 💛

These two tuxedo kittens came to us after a kind neighbor reached out for help. Their mom and suspected dad were both TNR'd by us, and these two little ones were taken in, vetted, and are now ready for a home.

Emma came to us as a stray and has been winning people over ever since. She is playful, friendly, and cuddly in equal measure. She will keep herself busy, then come find you when she wants attention, which is pretty regularly.

She would do best in a home without young children. At 2 years old she has great energy, and she is fully vetted and ready to go.

2 weeks ago, we trapped 2 different female cats suffering from pyometra, a severe, life threatening uterine infection caused by repeated heat cycles and pregnancies.

Both cats needed emergency surgery to survive.

This is why TNR matters.

TNR is not just about population control. It prevents suffering before it starts. Every cat spayed means:
• fewer kittens born outside into danger
• fewer medical emergencies like pyometra
• fewer cats fighting, starving, or struggling to survive
• fewer overflowing shelters and rescues

In just this year, we have already TNR’d 50 cats, but there are still so many more waiting for help.

The overpopulation crisis is heartbreaking and endless without intervention. We are trying our best to make a dent in it, one cat at a time, but we truly cannot do it alone.

If you believe every cat deserves a chance at a safer, healthier life, please consider donating toward our TNR efforts. Even small donations directly help cover spay/neuter surgeries, medical care, trapping supplies, and transportation.

This is Angel, and she is up for adoption. 🐾

Angel is a tortoiseshell who lost her home through no fault of her own. Her owner suffered a stroke, and just like that, her whole world changed overnight. She didn't do anything wrong. Life just changed on her.

She's been adjusting quietly and sweetly ever since. She's calm, she's affectionate, and once she feels safe she is the kind of cat who stays close and keeps you company. She's good with other cats and does best in a peaceful home where she can decompress and finally feel settled again.

Angel is spayed, vaccinated, and fully vetted. She's not looking for excitement. She's looking for someone steady who will give her the stable, loving home she lost.

Hi, neighbors! We're a foster-based cat rescue in NJ, and right now we have six cats who urgently need a temporary home while they wait for their forever families. We cannot take in more cats in need until we place these babies, and that means we need you.

Here's who's looking for a couch to crash on:
🐾 4 kittens, 8–9 weeks old, playful, curious, and at that irresistibly tiny stage.
🧡 Leo, a friendly, easygoing adult who just wants to hang out with good people.
🫶 Tortilla, another sweet adult, full of personality and ready to be someone's shadow.

What fostering with us looks like:
✅ We cover ALL vet costs, food, and litter
✅ We handle finding the adopter, you just provide the love and the space
✅ A bathroom or spare room is totally fine for the initial adjustment period

How one rescue turned into two… 🤍🐾

A few weeks ago, one of our volunteers received a message from someone who feeds a colony of cats in her backyard. She shared that one of the cats clearly didn’t want to be outside anymore — he was friendly, lingering at the door, and ready for the indoor life. With temperatures about to drop, our volunteer stepped in right away, knowing she couldn’t leave him out in the cold.

But as you can see in the videos… he wasn’t the only one hoping for a second chance.
Another cat appeared, crying and searching — and it quickly became clear these two are a bonded pair. The black kitty had been looking for the tabby, and once they were reunited, he kept calling for him. As soon as they were back together, they settled in side by side like they never missed a moment.

Now they do everything together — eating, lounging, exploring. They truly are a duo and find comfort and confidence in each other.
