On the celebration of the Cry for independence of Colombia in July, Club Colombia USA of Hackensack, NJ has carried art shows for over 28 years where we want to strengthen Colombian traditions and the cultural values of Latin American countries.
Club Colombia USA of Hackensack Curator Monica Chavarria says: “This exhibition is a look at our cultural roots represented in beautiful regional landscapes, portraits of working people, our customs and traditions, memories of our ancestors, or simply the poetic and colorful narration in images of life stories. This art exhibition will showcase the work of talented and innovative Latino-American artists: painters, photographers, poets, and writers. Through various mediums and styles, these artists explore the complex themes and diverse cultural expressions at the heart of the Latin American experience.
This exhibition is a testament to the enduring legacy and ongoing vitality of Latin American Art, and a celebration of the rich cultural heritage that continues to inspire and captivate audiences around the world.
Xpoarte 2024, is a celebration of the rich cultural heritage of Latin America and
commemorates the Cry of Colombia's Independence. "Our Ancestors" will feature the
works of talented Latin American artists, each offering their unique perspective on the
theme of heritage and tradition. From colorful canvases to intricate sculptures, the
pieces showcased in this exhibition will serve as a testament to the enduring legacy of
our roots and the importance of preserving our cultural identity. We believe that art has
the power to transcend boundaries and unite communities, and it is our hope that this
show will not only inspire appreciation for traditional art forms but also foster a deeper
understanding of our shared history and heritage” We are more than 55 artists
including young talented students and kids
