Five years ago, on September 8, 2021, my father traveled from South Carolina to New Jersey to attend the inaugural Blessed by Brandi, Inc. fundraising event.
As I replay those moments from five years ago, I find myself reflecting on where this journey began, everything that has happened since, and how much Blessed by Brandi, Inc. has grown.
This year, I made the decision not to host our 6th Annual Fundraising Event.
2026 has already been an eventful and incredibly busy year. Personally, I realized I didn’t have the bandwidth to show up in the way this organization deserves.
I’ve been on the go, pouring into my businesses, responsibilities, and commitments, and I had to acknowledge that I didn’t have anything left in my cup to pour from.
Our board members have also experienced major life changes and transitions of their own. Collectively, we recognized that this was a season that called for us to pause
So, instead of continuing simply because “this is what we do every year,” we chose to sit with this season.
Blessed by Brandi, Inc. will continue our sabbatical as we take intentional time to restructure, evaluate the present needs of those we serve, and explore the next chapter and purpose of our organization for 2027 and beyond.
What started as a way to honor my father grew into an opportunity to honor caregivers and support others. The core of who we are remains the same, but as we continue to grow, so does the vision and mission of Blessed by Brandi, Inc.
Sometimes growth requires movement, and sometimes growth requires a pause.
This is our pause.
