Happy Scout Sunday! We celebrated with our Chartered Organization today the Knights of Columbus at St. Paul the Apostle. One of our scouts was recognized with his religious award, and the Pack was also recognized for earning the Catholic Unit award. A scout is reverent!

Today our Pack was honored to accept the Pope Paul VI Unit Excellence from the Archdiocese of Chicago. We were 1 of only 3 Packs to achieve this award. Thanks to all our Scouts and Leaders for their hard work and effort for us to achieve this. Way to go Pack 627!

Yesterday the Scouts and Families of Pack 627 attended the EAA Museum in Oshkosh, WI. They had fun with several hands on STEM activities including creating their own Parachutes and dropping them on targets, building different types of paper airplanes and launching them for distance and accuracy, and the most popular flight simulators! Phew! I'm not sure who had more fun, the Scouts or the parents!

Last night our Webelos met with Gurnee Mayor Mayor Tom Hood . It was a great conversation about local government with some great questions from our scouts! Thanks to the Mayor for meeting with us!

This past Saturday our scouts and families had the opportunity to give back by participating in Feed My Starving Children. We had the largest group attend that day with almost 50 people! Great job to our scouts and families!!!
