The Carriage House at the Women & Family Life Center offers welcoming, flexible spaces for holiday parties, team celebrations, and seasonal get-togethers right here in Guilford!

Our studio and classroom spaces offer flexible layouts, tables and chairs, Wi-Fi, a TV, and kitchenette access with a microwave and mini fridge to help make hosting easier.

And when you rent the Carriage House, you're doing more than reserving a space. You're helping support the programs and services WFLC provides to women and families throughout our shoreline community.

Did you know STEM careers extend far beyond laboratories and classrooms? 🔬

From the chemistry behind skincare to the engineering of athletic shoes, STEM is part of so many things we interact with every day.

In our latest Good to Know educational series, we're exploring how everyday interests connect to STEM careers and why curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving are just as important as technical knowledge.

💚 These are the kinds of connections we encourage through WFLC's Girls in STEM program, where students explore STEM concepts through engaging, hands-on activities.

Our program currently serves students in grades 5–6, and we're excited to expand to grades 7–8 in spring 2027!

Strong communities start with strong partnerships. 💙

This Foundation Friday, we're recognizing the Town of Westbrook Ct for its growing partnership with Women & Family Life Center!

As one of our newer municipal supporters, Westbrook began investing in WFLC in FY2026 and has continued to expand its support for our mission.

Municipal partnerships help us ensure that individuals and families throughout our service area have access to guidance, resources, and personalized support when they need it.

We're grateful to the Town of Westbrook for recognizing the value of these services and investing in the well-being of its community.

What a night at Carriage House After Dark! 🎃🕯️

From creative costumes and friendly trivia competition to plenty of laughter and Halloween fun, we had such a wonderful time celebrating with our community!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and helped make the evening possible. Events like Carriage House After Dark are a reminder of how special it is to bring people together while supporting the mission of the Women & Family Life Center. 💚

Some legacies are measured not only by what someone has accomplished, but by what continues because of them. 💙

On Saturday, our community celebrated Shirley Girioni Day, honoring a remarkable woman whose dedication to Guilford has made a lasting impact for more than five decades.

As the founder of the Women & Family Life Center, Shirley helped create a place where women and families could find connection, guidance, and support. Her vision continues to shape the work we do today.

It was especially meaningful to have our Executive Director, Jen, join Shirley for the rededication of the Guilford Welcome Center in her honor. A beautiful moment connecting the Center's beginnings with the work that continues today.

Congratulations, Shirley! We are so proud to be part of your legacy and grateful for all you've made possible throughout our community.

Thank you to the Guilford Preservation Alliance and Guilford Foundation for recognizing her extraordinary contributions. 💙

A little fall cleanup, a lot of community spirit! 🍂💚

Last Tuesday, volunteers from United Way of Greater New Haven joined us at the Center to help spruce up our grounds for the season!

We're so grateful for the time, energy, and hard work they put into caring for our space. Community support comes in so many forms, and sometimes it looks like rolling up your sleeves, getting outside, and lending a helping hand.

A big thank you to United Way and everyone who helped make it happen! We're lucky to have such wonderful community partners. 💚
