Our food forest and garden is flourishing lately as we harvest the first crops grown in our garden beds! We need volunteers to help us maintain the space as we move into fall planting. Right now, we're focusing on preparing our garden beds for fall, planting fall veggies, and watering and weeding the rest of the food forest. We host volunteer days weekly on Sundays, 10am - 1pm. Do you need to pickup fresh ingredients for a family meal? We got you covered.Feed’em Freedom gets some donations but we grow a lot of produce for The Black community food center and support other Black and brown farmers and ranchers who are the backbone of our food economy. Bring your two bags and visit us this week at 4450 ne 131st place Pdx 97230. We keep you fed from seed to feed! This week we have salmon, jalapeños, ghost peppers,bell peppers, cucumbers , squash ,greens and more . It takes an amazing team of staff and volunteers to serve 300 plus families a week.pictured here-Mrs. Nikki our food pantry lead and Matthew our new food hub coordinator!

Give thanks for community that showed up and helped clean up the Rockwood village farm and neighborhood. Thank you Play Grow Learn and Multnomah County REACH program for hosting this event and the youth carnival on Friday! We are so grateful for the good things that are in motion! Community solutions and success! The families of Rockwood village deserve more of this type of gathering and support! Also shout out to Tierra our community farmer for showing up and out today!
