YMCA Camp Collins

We are thrilled to announce that AJ Laughlin has officially accepted the opportunity to serve as Camp Collins' new Executive Director!

He joins us from YMCA Camp Minikani in Milwaukee, WI and brings over a decade of YMCA resident camping and youth development experience. In this new role, he is most excited about the opportunity to build on Camp Collins' strong foundation while helping shape its next chapter. He is energized by the chance to lead a team with the same key mission: create lasting memories, foster personal growth, and build meaningful connections at camp.

He envisions a bright future for Camp Collins as the premier destination for youth development in the region. Under his leadership, he plans to make Camp Collins a place where every camper, every family, and every community feels they belong.

In his free time, AJ enjoys catching the latest blockbuster, watching musicals and other live performances, and making sourdough bread with his trusty sourdough starter, Doughlene.

Join us in giving AJ a warm welcome to the Camp Collins Family! ⛺🎉

Time for a Little Camp Collins Trivia!

Did you know that each summer, YMCA Camp Collins partners with the Saitama YMCA in Japan to offer a 2-week intercultural experience for their youth.

This tradition gives young people the opportunity to build friendships across the globe, share their cultures, practice language skills, and create memories that last a lifetime. From camp activities and local adventures to everyday family life, these experiences help foster understanding, connection, and a broader view of the world.

The Saitama YMCA is currently looking for a few more host families to welcome visiting campers during their stay. Hosting is a rewarding way to share your family, community, and culture while making a meaningful impact on a young person's life.
