As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, we’re excited to share a few updates to our Village Roots Collective leadership and teaching team.
At VRC, our Executive Board helps guide the long-term vision and governance of our community, while our staff leadership supports the day-to-day operations and learning experiences our families see each week.
Please join us in welcoming some new members to our Executive Board for the year ahead:
• Brandi Kirkhoff, Executive Board President
• Brandi Spradley, Executive Board Secretary & Grant Writing Chair
• Sarah Fredericksen, Executive Board Treasurer
• Cheyenne Jonas, Executive Board Fundraising Chair
We’re also excited to share that Whitney Rainbolt will be serving as VRC’s Chief Executive Officer, focusing on day-to-day operations as we continue preparing for the future of our programs and community. After serving as Executive Board President since VRC opened in January 2024, we’re grateful for Whitney’s continued leadership and heart for VRC.
Kendra Frankland will be stepping into the role of Educational Director while also leading our new Sycamores program. We’re excited for the thoughtful, relationship-centered approach she brings to students, staff, and families.
We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to Krystall DeBoy for the incredible care, creativity, and leadership she has brought to the Educational Director role this year. As we move into next year, we’re excited for Krystall to focus more deeply on classroom teaching in Maples, where her creativity, connection, and love for children truly shine.
Thank you for continuing to grow alongside us. We’re grateful for this village and excited for all the 2026–2027 school year will bring.
