Burton Center is honored to announce a generous contribution from West Carolina that will directly support people with disabilities and special needs in Abbeville, Greenwood, Edgefield, McCormick, Lexington, and Saluda counties.
“We are deeply grateful for West Carolina’s belief in our work and commitment to making a difference in the lives of the people we serve,” stated Laurie Cordell, Executive Director of Burton Center.
West Carolina is a telecommunications company based in Abbeville, South Carolina, that provides internet, phone, and related services to communities across the state, including Greenwood and surrounding areas.
Burton Center for Disabilities and Special Needs is a non-profit, multi-county agency providing services for people with disabilities and special needs (including autism, intellectual disabilities, head injuries, spinal cord injuries, and related disabilities) in Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, Lexington, McCormick, and Saluda counties. Burton Center’s mission is to Discover and Develop Unlimited Potential. Services are provided to help each person reach their full potential. Services include day services for adults at the four centers located in Greenwood, Lexington, Saluda, and Ware Shoals, residential services (24 community residences, 3 supervised living programs, 1 community training home I), and Employment services.
